We bought our 1st House! Our Van Life Journey Begins

For Christmas this year, after about 6 months of talking about, planning for and researching everything there is about Van Life, my girlfriend Adriana and I bought a Sprinter Van!

Enjoy the Journey Van Life – We bought our 1st House! Van Life Begins

What: 2005 Dodge Sprinter Van R1N Model

Engine: 2.7 Liter 5 cylinder Mercedes turbo diesel engine

Mileage: 240,000 (these engines run 500,000 regularly)

Wheelbase: 140″ (Fits in a standard parking space)

Updates: New Transmission 3 years ago, New tires, all new injectors, and brakes in 60% shape

Paid: $6,100 (Bought the van from this awesome Hungarian guy David!)

*When we took the van to a pre-sale inspection at a 3rd party dealership we learned the turbo would need to be replaced.  The estimate for a rebuilt turbo with labor is $1,800.  We asked David to split the difference with us so he came down in price from $6,900 to $6,100.)

Funny, I want the same kind of vertical white panelling on my walls… Would you guys share what you used for yours? Thanks and… enjoy the journey! 🙂

Hey Celia! For the walls I used wall board from Home Depot. You can get a big piece of it for pretty cheap. Hope this helps!
