As Orlando endures the largest mass shooting in American history, as a long time resident I believe our city has a great opportunity ahead of it.  To show the world that Orlando is an inclusive community that welcomes all walks of life, all backgrounds, all religions, all sexes and sexual preferences.  That it is perfectly normal to wear a rainbow colored shirt in support of the LGBT community as a straight man.  That Orlando welcomes all.

In the weeks and months that followed the shooting Orlando answered back with a strong statement of “Love over Fear.”  I’m so proud to tell the story of Orlando and it’s people as I travel across the world and the phrase I find myself coming back to so often is, “Keep Dancing Orlando.”  As the son of a rock n roll drummer I have always loved music and over the years I’ve learned to shake my hips so it’s fair to say, dancing is an important part of my life.  I dance for fitness, I dance for stress relief and most importantly I dance for FUN.  So when I saw the Keep Dancing Orlando video I instantly knew that would be the message I spread to share the resilience, solidarity and above all Love that Orlando has for its people.
